Providentia can understand the ACTRIS vocabulary for some species and an error will be thrown for those who can be mapped to multiple GHOST species (e.g. aerosol particle optical depth). The mapping is provided in the GHOST–ACTRIS species mapping section.

.env file

An .env file will appear in the Providentia root directory when using the download mode. It is designed to store specific user preferences.

  • ORIGIN_UPDATE: This setting specifies if the datasets information from Thredds should be updated per species every time we download data. The information is stored here.
